• the girl I know who was in the hospital since this morning was released at five. they had to hook her up to an IV to feed her because she wasn’t eating. When she got back I joined the massive group of people giving her a hug and decided to tell her about how I cried and how I was worried because I don’t think she fully understands that people worry about her like they do. At least I do anyway.

My mom came home upset about having a “sucky day”

and so I was all like, “I’VE HAD A SUCKY DAY TOO.”

And I told her about all the people who went to the hospital today for various reasons (one of them may or may not have been a suicide attempt or that point where she hasn’t eaten in a very long time where she passed out- either way she’s being kept at the hospital) and the understudy for one of our leads being her big sister who knows her little sister would never forgive her for taking her spot and about all the other hospital visits piling up and how one of my favourite teachers isn’t coming back next year and has no job in the fall and I was crying right there talking to my mom who was actually listening. she didn’t understand too much about the teacher leaving but I was all like, “She has no job! She has no job in the fall!” and she loves our school so much and she loves running the students’ council and she loves it all and she’s one of the best teachers I’ve ever had “And she said it like she was announcing that she had a terminal illness, and like no one said anything after that it was terrible- and there probably isn’t going to be a students’ council next year because no teacher has stepped up to run it, worst case scenario we might have specific teachers running specific events and I don’t even know if that’s going to happen- and apparently the first year they had a students’ council was the year I JOINED” I’m not returning next year (going off to university) but I can’t even begin to emulate how upset I am about this and everything in words.

My mom gave me a hug after I said all this and told me I had a big heart and she got my stuffed animal lion I’ve had since I was like 6 from my bed and handed him to me
